After the huge impact of Spiral of Sound Crystal Bowl Choir’s meditation performance for 300 in attendance at the June 2006 Summer Solstice in Piedmont Park, this group, under the direction of Candace Keach, continues to perform for churches, healing centers and retreats. They were awarded placement on the Georgia Council of the Arts Touring Artist Roster for 2010-2013 and were chosen to perform at Piccolo Spoleto 2011. The SOS performances include crystal bowl layouts designed around sacred geometry, archetypal imagery and sacred sound. A sight to hear and a sound to see – these concerts are transformational treats! SOS presents a sound meditation based on the ancient Native American Medicine Wheel Ceremony.  In the culture of the Native Americans, the Medicine Wheel is the Universe in all its dimensions.  It is change, life, death, birth and learning.  This Great Circle is the lodge of our bodies, our minds, and our hearts.  It is the cycle of all things that exist.  

The SOS Medicine Wheel with crystal bowls, chant, drums, shakers and flutes invites participants into the mystery of the Great Circle’s Seven Directions revealing the relationship and integration of All things!

Saturday – Level I This workshop will transform your understanding of how sound heals. Direct experience, lots of hand-outs, a 7-page bibliography/website/discography, sound and visuals, a fascinating presentation. Topics will include the sound formulas inherent in sacred geometry and the golden mean, Pythagoras' spiral of harmonics, toning and overtoning, sound healing pioneers and therapies from ancient times to present day medicine, important sound healing concepts such as frequency, resonance, dissonance, entrainment and stillpoint. Tools will include tuning forks, Tibetan and crystal bowls, toning and cyma-bioresonance. From the sacred bija mantras to the modern day science of cymatherapy this workshop brings centuries of knowledge into one enlightened day.

Sunday - Level II In this second workshop day participants will learn specific techniques for assessment and therapy with tuning forks, crystal and Tibetan bowls; includes a detailed reference workbook. We will learn how to do a sound scan and voice analysis, five and six-point star therapeutic patterns, Shu point, Huato Jiaji point and Extraordinary Vessel balancing, vertebral tune-up, brain wave entrainment, frequency analysis, pain release and how to use imagery, sound and music in powerful combination. Healing arts practitioners and health professionals will gain the skills necessary to incorporate sound techniques into their own practice.
