Candace Keach

Candace is a classical flutist who has always been intrigued by the magic of music. Formal studies were completed at the University of Georgia and at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. She is principal flutist in the Macon Symphony Orchestra, and flutist with the Atlanta Boy Choir and has created two CDs with pianist, Gordon Porth. The sound healing CD, “As Above So Below”, was their first in which flutes, quartz crystal bowls and synthesizer weave a sonic experience of nature’s elements around scientific principles of sound therapy. Their newly released meditation CD, "Traveling Waves", features Gordon's piano and Candace's wood, bamboo and silver flutes in a co-creation with mother nature to produce a refreshing impressionistic journey along the waterways of the world!
Candace trained in the ancient secrets of sound healing with Wayne Perry in Los Angeles, and with the creator of BioSonics, Dr. John Beaulieu, in New York, learning the art of toning, vocal harmonics, voice analysis and scanning, as well as the theory and use of tuning forks, the bija mantras, five element music and voice energetics. With sound pioneer, Jill Purce, in London, England, Candace has experienced sound as a tool for repatterning ancestral programming.
Candace is creator/director of the Spiral of Sound Crystal Bowl Choir. She maintains a busy schedule of lectures and concerts. Performances include that for the National Flute Association Convention 2011, The Sophia Institute in Charleston and the Medical University of South Carolina for Piccolo Spoleto 2011.
Candace has been awarded placement on the Georgia Council for the Arts Touring Artist Roster and also the Southern Artistry registry for her work as a performing artist and as the director of Spiral of Sound workshops and concerts. Spiral of Sound was just recently chosen to perform at Piccolo Spoleto 2011 in Charleston and for Art on the Atlanta Beltline 2012.
Candace teaches a class for healing arts practitioners and health professionals in which they gain the skills and understanding necessary to incorporate sound healing techniques into their own practice. She was chosen to present this workshop at The Society for the Arts in Healthcare Conference, 2009.
Candace is also trained in polarity therapy, reiki and aromatherapy as well as being an artist/illustrator. She has developed a line of therapeutic oil blends, Sonic Angel Escentuals, to complement her therapeutic sound work, Sonic Angel Music. Candace illustrated the children's book, "Love is the Color of a Rainbow" by Kathy Parra which was published in September 2011. CandaceResume.pdf
