Dolphin Magazine

Dolphin Song - Kathy Parra regularly contributes articles to www.Ocean Magazine.org and it's sister, www.Dolphin Magazine.org. She and Candace collaborated on this project with Spiral of Sound. Kathy was given an exact series of notes in meditation with which Candace composed music for crystal bowls and flute. SOS learned it, rehearsed it and recorded it in one night - a work in progress! Southern Artistry

is an online artist registry designed to showcase the South's artistic diversity and excellence by spotlighting outstanding artists of all disciplines that live and work in the region. These artists are nominated based on the quality of their work by state arts agencies in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Candace and her work with Spiral of Sound have been awarded placement on this prestigious registry, 2010.

Georgia Council for the Arts

is a state agency with the mission to provide access to the arts for all Georgians, and its prime responsibility is to the state’s nonprofit arts industry. The agency strives for 100% statewide coverage (every county) in support of arts programming. Candace, with Spiral of Sound, has been awarded placement on the GCA Touring Artist Roster, 2010 - 2013.

The Society for the Arts in Healthcare

is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation in Washington, DC. Founded in 1991, the Society for the Arts in Healthcare is dedicated to advancing arts as integral to healthcare by demonstrating the valuable roles the arts can play in enhancing the healing process;advocating for the integration of the arts into the environment and delivery of care within healthcare facilities;assisting in the professional development and management of arts programming for healthcare populations; providing resources and education to healthcare and arts professionals; and encouraging and supporting research and investigation into the beneficial effects of the arts in healthcare.

Candace is a member of this organization and presented a 90-minute creative workshop, "Stress-Relief, a Sound Prescription" at the 2009 conference in Buffalo, NY.

International Sound Therapy Association

ISTA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation whose purpose is to promote the benefits of therapeutic sound by providing an educational forum and activities for sound therapists, musicians, healing arts practitioners, and the general public.
